Fantastic Sydney babymoon with friends

Sydney babymoon

8 days of Sydney babymoon in a nutshell: exploring the beach, testing ferry rides and various watering holes, botanical gardens and opera. Active babymoon and fantastic citybreak. 22 weeks also the babybump feels relatively light and comfortable, the early morning/ all day sickness over, so I’d say probably best placed to explore and enjoy an active holiday.

We chose a North Sydney Airbnb flat, 3 kms from CBD by train or ferry; nice restaurants nearby. Relatively buzzy during the week (we understand it’s the base of IT and advertising industries) and quieter and peaceful at weekends.  Lovely flat, swimming pool and very convenient for its basement parking, Maria, thanks again ! 🙂

Manly beach was one of our favourites – we went a couple of times .

The ferry commute is just wonderful; and as a Londoner could not help myself comparing it with London underground. Life is sooo not fair !

Bondi beach as well, its cool vibes and amazing bodies.

Botanical gardens felt refreshing and bang in the middle of the city.

We bought Carmen tickets at the Opera – it must have been the most memorable opera outdoors . A balmy evening, with wonderful views over the harbour and amazing opera! London hosts many great performances over the summer months but I have to admit, despite attending many, we tend to end up with a blanket and/or umbrella.

Sydney Opera – Carmen

We also explored some remote beaches and cool restaurants – Jonah on Whale beach has been a wonderful day out. Stunning ocean retreat and the only Relais & Chateaux in Sydney – we had a wonderful brunch with bubbles and more catching up.

Another day we spent at Blue Mountains – amazing and majestic; and we explored bits and pieces at leisure: The Three Sisters, Giant Staircase, bush-walks, Katoomba Falls, Cliff View Lookout.

Was ready to move to Sydney after those 8 wonderful days. Anyone else?
