KIDsorted coming to London parents rescue: lots of activities & options

May 2016 started so promising in London: 28 degrees last week-end, much better than the average of last summer !

But weather regardless, most London parents are now wrapping up summer plans & activities for little ones. And one place making parents life easier is KIDsorted : an online marketplace with over 10,000 suppliers listed! Launched in 2014, KIDsorted is covering West London including Notting Hill, Kensington, Hammersmith, Chiswick, Fulham and currently expanding across all London. Founded by two mothers, Julia Brucher and Anshu Goel, experiencing the usual ‘joy’ and ‘juggle’ between career and parenting, the website is on a mission to make our lives easier by putting together a fragmented kids activity market & making it bookable online.

We/ ‘Zenbabytravel team’ used KIDsorted.com for the last year and loved discovering lots of new activities. And we found Julia and her team very responsive and helpful.  From music to ballet and yoga classes, to science, restaurants, plays and little trips – this is one great site. And here is a selection of pictures and what we enjoyed with KIDsorted in the last few weeks: Hands in Pasta – cosy Hammersmith restaurant with Italian cuisine and a very nice play area; Tatty Bumpkin yoga in Maida Vale; 3 Little Pigs interactive play.

At Hands in Pasta parents with toddlers may enjoy a meal whilst looking at the little ones playing and discovering the Magic Village, a miniature version of a small town, with a beauty salon, drug store, garage, library, family country house, all surrounded by a rainbow river and candy tree.

So with a bit of luck, an uninterrupted grown up conversation and one enjoyable meal for the full family.

We also tested a Tatty Bumpkin yoga class with Krishna in Maida Vale. Raphael used to be so much more into yoga in his early days than now .. Offering yoga-inspired classes for babies and children from 0 – 7 years, Tatty Bumpkin aims to develop flexibility, enhance creativity, aid development and promote wellbeing by encouraging children to be bendy, giggly, clever and strong. Krishna is one patient teacher and kindly offers first free trial classes for parents & toddlers like us, in 2 minds about what we’d like to do.

3 Little Pigs has a great team of actors that coped also with our very independent toddler  who likes organizing himself rather than going with the flow of an interactive play. We only attended half of the 45 minutes of storytelling, slide included but played extensively with the actors before and after – a bunch of very nice guys.

On our future lists from KIDsorted are also Applegarth Music Studios, W14 OHZ (9 months – 5 years), Teddy Tennis, Holland Park (2.5- 6 years),  Bilingual Beats – French one (9 months – 5 years), Little House of Science,  Westbourne Grove Church  (2-3 years) ; hopefully writing about these ones soon!

Happy May to you all !

PS: Many thanks to Julia @ KIDsorted who took the time to talk about various activities and introduce us. Also many thanks to Ally @ Hands in Pasta  for the complimentary 3 Little Pigs show and Krishna @ Tatty Bumpkin for the trial class and her patience.
