Day out Devon: World of country life

Day out Devon: feeding deers

A bit of context: we spent few hours at the World of Country Life on our way back to London from Cornwall. Perfect stopover, right after baby’s morning beauty nap.

Highlights for the grown ups: the vintage collection agriculture tools, outfits, carriages, vintage trains right after the entrance. Fascinating stories, videos and characters. 2nd vintage collection further down and also indoors, cars and motorcycles.

Highlights for the 3.5 years old: the bumpy slides were a big hit. So was the pirate’s ship indoors, lots of sand, rope bridges and playareas. And of course the giant pillow to bounce on, the farm frenzy soft play and the trampolines.

Highlights for baby: lots of animals from ducklings, to goats and alpacas, birds of prey, sheeps, donkeys, wallabies and their babies. Bits of falconry show. The playarea with swings, rope bridges and nature play.

Highlights for all of us: train safari ride within the park with a stopover to feed the llamas and deers. Very cute and friendly, amazing table manners for all of them . We all had a blast getting hands tickled with their funny tongues and cuddled quite a few. One of our best experiences with animals, warmly recommending!

So in a nutshell, great outdoors and indoors options, friendly and funny personnel. We were also extremely lucky with the weather, sunny and balmy 17 degrees, wish we had more time to enjoy, there’s so much great stuff for a gorgeous day out packed with fun and variety!

PS: Many thanks to World of Country Life for the complimentary passes. Pictures, monkey business and opinions entirely ours.
