We wrapped up 2017 gloriously with the Nutcracker at Royal Albert Hall, a fabulous finale with Birmingham Royal Ballet. And we’re in luck, in 2021 they are back between December 28th -31st with 5 performances! 
It was a 3 generations treat: my mum cried of excitement and joy; I’ve been enchanted and transported back to childhood dreamy winter lands; the 4 years old stood mouth wide opened, charmed, intrigued, ocassionally conducting and sometimes pointing out the music he loved and the characters he liked.

La mise en scene is superb: the Christmas party is sophisticated and buzzy, the costumes are lavish, the boys are energetic and rather naughty, the dancing snowflakes transport you back to dreams, the magician is intriguing and forceful, the Sugar Plum fairy delicate and magic. And midnight comes, exotic tales are coming one by one to life on the stage with the dancing dolls, a charming prince and soldiers toys.
Clara’s winter dreams are an utter delight and when one manages to take their eyes of the ballet magic, finds big screens with superb winter projections: starry night skies, trees in snow, flowers blooming. Royal Albert Hall becomes magic – huge baubles descend off the enormous ceilings and snow falls on the audience – exquisite and festive.
Royal Albert Hall must be also one of my favourite places in the world and I watched with excitement in the last year becoming very special for my 4 years old. Father Christmas at the Hall is one of the best December treats in London for kids under 7; the Proms are fabulous and in 2017 I have been delighted to introduce it also not to 1 but to 2 4 years olds.
2018 has been another exciting year for Royal Albert Hall filled with fantastic events. Cirque de soleil was back with their outstanding performances; from January 7th to March 4th, there was Ovo for the first time in the UK. I have been very lucky to see in Melbourne back in 2013 (when I had my very own OVO!) and it was just out of this world, no doubt at the iconic Royal Albert Hall will be even grander! Storytelling and music sessions for 0-4 year olds happened between January to March 22nd. There was also an inaugural Festival of Science exploring through a series of concerts, film screenings and comedy events for space – a must see for any sci-fi fans young and old. Live music of sci-fi favourites Star Trek, Star Trek Beyond, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, a live-rescoring of Moomins and the Comet, plus intergalactic-inspired music at Space Spectacular and My Great Orchestral Adventure – what a list! And of course the Proms and so much more ! And we are in luck in 2021 RAH is back and celebrating 150 years super festively! And lucky and grateful for 2025 performances in here, Cirque du Soleil Corteo in March, Maxim Vengerov in May and Home Alone in Concert in December!
