With the World book day past us, how about our favourite kids magazine? At a time when everything is going digital, here comes this brilliant monthly printed publication. We had 3 issues of Scoop magazine UK to read and digest at lengths in the last 4 months and its very short stories for children made brilliant company on exotic holidays in Maldives, long flights and even skiing for cosy winter evenings by the fireplace.
Scoop team say they make perfect lecture for 8+ and this is where we disagree! My eldest – 4.5 years old could not get enough of Scoop magazine 3 issues. His friends ranging from 5 – 9 years old loved them as well and asked to be borrowed. Short periods have been negotiated and after all that travelling, Scoop magazines are still by our bed at home. Too cool to be given!

From the Revolution Scoop issue, Perry the Pirate Parrot must be the favourite story – hilarious interactions between blasés pirates indulging into rum and sleeping whilst their parrot is desperate after monkey nuts and starts pirating by himself – just to leave sacks of gold and treasures behind and pick just nuts. Same Revolution issue, the Etherington Brothers sketches have gone down very well – the dump with half eaten foods discarded is so educational and inspirational. Dinner time makes also perfect conversation ! No one wants half eaten decaying aliments to have a revolution by their house!
Designed to inspire and nurture a love of reading and stories, Scoop magazines do a brilliant job: cool very short stories for children and parents alike. An exciting choice for our first ever kids magazine and a delight to go through great writers and illustrators, both fiction and non fiction.

Very topical for March, the current issue is dedicated to Women (number 15) and even more topical to our readers there’s the Travel issue ( number 7). Well-travelled kids make great readers. Or the other way around? And here’s a list of stockists to grab your own Scoop magazine!
Disclaimer: Many thanks to Clemmie, the brilliant entrepreneur, founder and publisher behind Scoop magazine who sent us the 3 brilliant issues. Will surely dig in for more!
