*LA ROTISSERIE  – located at the ground floor of Fahrenheit 7, with splendid view on slopes, a sunny terrace with tables and chaise longue, DJ included! Aperols, mulled wine and champagne go well in here with pokes/ lobster rolls / sea bass ceviche/ linguini with pesto/ risotto with Lobster. For kids there is lasagna, burgers, fish and chips. The wines selection is beautiful and their poke bowls and seared tuna have been our favourite lunch on slopes, even with the high competition from La Casserole and La Fruitiere!.

*Le bistronomique Chabotte – traditional Savoyard dishes cleverly reinterpreted like “grandma used to cook”. Our friends had a nice a la carte dinner and opted for Chestnuts velvety black truffles and foie gras / lobster ravioli/ scallops reduction of orange with vanilla flavour and sole meuniere cereal risotto. Their son loved their pata negra and cheese plate as well as pasta Bolognese.

*La table de Marie – located just next door to Fahrenheit 7: the 5 years old enjoyed “the best pizza ever”; the grown ups loved the snails and traditional onion soup. This is also an easy option for overtired kids after so much skiing; they also arrange take aways : pizzas, salads and crepes to your room/ suite/ chalet. 

*AZIMUT – 1 Michelin star, located in Courchevel 1550, aka La Praz. The adults opted for fois gras escalope / turbot with chow flower mousse and the traditional tartiflette ( lunch and dinner set menus from 68 euros to 95 euros). Lovely attitude to kids and dedicated delicious kids menu.

Lunching and wining on the slopes. Our votes go for La Casserole, La Fruitiere and De LaRoche Brasserie within Courcheneige.

Tartiflettes, steaks, fondus, foie gras and some more cheese – yum! And lots of wine and aperol!

De LaRoche Brasserie within Courcheneige for their wonderful sunny, big terrace on piste Bellecote, to enjoy hearty, flavoursome dining, fresh, local produce delighting tastebuds. The kids had chicken nuggets and fries, the adults enjoyed the steak and the quiche with salads, portion are huge and the vibes are great fun, live DJ and apres ski and dancing by Grizzly Burger Snackbar.

The dining options at Fahrenheit 7 are exquisite: we dined twice, some outstanding tartare and truffled dishes.

Another glorious dining option next door is La Portetta, Angela Hartnett’s child that we got to know and love from Murano in London and its casual sibbling on St James street.

And after all that glorious food, one may be be ready for apres-skiing! Some brilliant options,  we have attended regularly to La Folie Meribel Courchevel and we even brought the 5 years old who fell in love instantly! Some high standards now to live up to!

Fahrenheit 7 bars are also cool and atmospheric with the 2 fireplaces, plush pillows and rugs. The staff uniform is part of the story and charm and staff themselves have been delightful with our cheeky monkeys, even when running around.

1. Located right on the slopes, Fahrenheit 7 has amazing ski-in ski-out access. And for full convenience, a generously-sized ski room also dedicated to hotel guests, including lockers, adjacent the ski and rental shop. Getting ready and on the slopes could not possibly get any easier!

2. The ski school Courchevel 1650 and the childcare is literally next door: Esf ski school just in front of the hotel as well as the New Generation – one can almost spot the offsprings at le jardin d’hiver from Fahrenheit balconies and Rottisserie terrace. Petits Pralins nursery is also next door – same building with the new Arondiaz cable car.

Our 5 years old spent 5 mornings with ESF ski school Courchevel 1650 – he loved it, with Friday, the awards day being of course his highlight.

3. Fahrenheit’s 7 sleek suites. We spent 5 fabulous nights in their just refurbished designery vintage suites. We found them impeccable for spending grown up time as kids have their own room, spacey enough to invite our friends over for playdates and catching up over bottles of wine.

 

4. Ski holidays Courchevel 1650 are brilliant for skiing and options. We’d spend the mornings chilld free on redruns: Bel Air and towards Meribel on Monvallon and its stunning glacier.

For families and kids there’s lots of options in terms of Greens and Blues and once we figured that out, our 5 years old skied with us in the afternoon.

5. Spa, sauna, hammam and ice treatments are essential ingredients to any luxuryski holidays! For me personally it’s the perfect wrap up after La Folie Douce, the last ski run and pre dinner. And yes, Fahrenheit 7 has them all.
