Bocketts Farm Park treated us with a bucolic sunny Sunday last week-end. Set in Surrey beautiful countryside and a 50 minutes drive from Kensington, it makes a perfect day trip with tones of fresh air and therapeutical green spaces, friendly animals, October foliage, so much play for kids, a pumkin patch and even spooky decor! I still can not decide if the boys and their friends or my inner child loved it more, but we were all for sure the last to leave.
October 2020 pumpkin treats with Bocketts Farm Park
The giant slides, the trampolines, the young drivers’ zone were serious hits with our children and in balmy temperatures perfect for parents to hang around and catch up over tea. Also outside there are play trails, pedal go karts, jumping pillows, treehouse towers and the farm walks – children spent so much time running around from one to another!
We barely managed to convince them to stop for lunch – a picnic with friends also outdoors, nearby the treehouse towers and llamas. Delightful!

There’s also a tractor to be ridden, animal feeding sessions and more petting and interaction opportunities: llamas, goats, bunnies, chinchillas, alpacas, chicken, horses, ponnies and cute babies.
Half term October there’s even more to look forward to, Wizzards and Witches week is running from October 24th – November 1st: encounters with reptiles and creepy crawlies, science and slime shows with the wicked Einstein’s Entertainers as well as spooky fun trails!
We had a fun and spooky preview within the Pumpkin Village and could not help ourselves posing, playing and getting our own homegrown Bocketts Farm pumpkin out of which we all prepared delicious soups, roasted spicey seeds, pies and fun carvings!
In the brave new world of 2020, Bocketts farm are following government and industry guidelines and have implemented measures to operate safely. You had me at pumpkin! Love a pie, it’s one of the things I look forward to all year. Good to know there is a patch within easy distance from London too.
Pumpkins and so much more Scarlett! One of our favourite farms we’ve seen over the years! X
