Welcome to November 2021 edition of Cultured Kids! The festive season has started gloriously in London, perhaps earlier to catch up on last year lockdowns?! Christmas at Kew opened once again superbly, the Unesco world heritage site became magical with over one million glittering lights, a celebration of nature by night and wonder of biodiversity! We have been invited to the Press evening and raved extensively about brand new Aurora Borealis, the Sphere, the 12 days of Christmas, the Novas, the Palomas and so much more as well as the return of familiar favourites like the sparkling Christmas Cathedral (not sure pics do justice for the evening, insta reel in here).
If you are not ready quite yet for the festive season, fear not, London is buzzing with exhibitions and culture: I have been very lucky to have a private evening to see Kusama’s dazzling Infinity Rooms at Tate Modern (until June 2022, book as soon as you find a slot!); Royal Albert Hall and Martin Kiszko treated us with a very topical session on Green poems for a Blue Planet; Japan House with Designing for tomorrow and Tokyo Olympics 1964; V&A with Jameel Prize: Poetry to Politics (ON until November 28th and I reckon a must see); Anthony James’s Lightfield Exhibition dazzles inside the Marble Arch Mound (on until December); and Serpentine Galleries with superb evenings with Sumaya Vally and current exhibition Herve Telemaque (until January 2022); Royal Musem Greenwich delighted us with the Ice worlds and now the Queens House Ice Rink (18 November 2021 – 9 January 2022).
If you are not quite ready for London crowds and indoors culture, we raved again about our daytrips to the Grove, Hertfordshire musical trail and their latest fabulous pop-up restaurant Cinder; Magna Carta National Trust combined with Coworth Park afternoon tea (as exquisite and delicious as we know for years); Beaver Brook, their fantastic sushi and Surrey foliage.
MuseumMum and I loved reading all the articles linked on October #CulturedKids and our favourites have been Singapore (but not as you know it!) and Discovering the International Quarter London. Many congrats! Winter in London 2021 looks gloriously busy with and an agenda full with outings with friends, museums, restaurants, exhibitions and charity events, we are ecstatic to have culture and fun back! How is November treating you and what have you been up to?
